Al-Mokattam Language School (MLS) was founded in 1994 by Mr. Adly El-Qazzaz. It is a licensed private Egyptian school under the supervision of the Egyptian Ministry of Education. Al-Mokattam Language School is the first private school in Al-Mokattam.It offers education from pre-kindergarten through high school.

In 1996, the school opened its own International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) section under the supervision of the Cambridge Assessment English. In 2005, the school opened an American secondary school diploma section.
Al-Mokattam Language School was the first school in Al-Mokattam to offer both British and American secondary school diplomas. Since then, the school has expanded to offer all grade levels from kindergarten to grade 12.
It currently has approximately 1,400 students from diverse backgrounds, religions, and academic levels.
